Vocca is developed and operated by Mera Innovations, Inc., a Delaware corporation (“Mera Innovations,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you use the Vocca mobile application and related services (together, the “Service”).
If you have questions, contact us at privacy@thevoccapp.com.
When you download Vocca from the Apple App Store or Google Play, Apple and/or Google process information in connection with the download, updates, payments (if any), and platform services. That processing is governed by their respective policies and terms, not only this policy. We encourage you to review:
Apple and Google may provide developers with aggregate statistics and diagnostics (for example, installs, crashes, or performance metrics) in App Store Connect or Google Play Console. Those tools are controlled by the platform; turning off optional in-app analytics in Vocca (see below) does not disable aggregate reporting that Apple or Google makes available to developers. You may have additional choices in your device or account settings.
Vocca may send technical and usage event data to infrastructure we operate (for example, hosted services such as Supabase) only if you turn Usage analytics on in the app’s Settings.
You can turn Usage analytics off at any time in Settings; new events will not be sent after you disable the toggle (subject to normal processing delays).
We use information to:
Optional AI features in Vocca are powered by Google Gemini (Google’s generative AI service). Google acts as a subprocessor when you use them. We do not name or commit to a specific Gemini model or version in this policy—the underlying model may change as we improve the service.
Consent and default state. AI features are off by default. The first time you open an AI feature, Vocca shows an in-app consent notice explaining what is sent to Google; nothing is sent until you accept. You can revoke consent at any time in Settings, which disables the feature.
Transaction suggestions: When you use AI to suggest a category or amount, the transaction or description text you enter may be sent to Google solely to return a suggestion. We do not include your email or similar identifiers in these requests as part of that flow. Suggestions are not stored as part of your records until you confirm them.
In-app finance assistant: When you use the assistant, your messages and recent conversation turns may be sent to Google, together with summary numbers from Vocca (such as income, budget, spending totals, remaining budget, savings rate, or debt) so answers can reflect your situation. We do not add your email or similar identifiers to these requests as a routine part of this flow. Avoid entering sensitive information you do not want processed by Google as part of this feature.
Where available, you can turn off optional AI features in the app’s Settings, or use manual entry and other non-AI flows.
Core financial data can be stored on your device. Mera Innovations cannot access data that never leaves your device.
If you enable cloud sync, data is transmitted using encryption in transit (for example, TLS) and stored with our service providers under access controls. You can disable sync and request deletion of cloud-held data by deleting your account as described below.
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information only as follows:
We use the following third-party service providers (“sub-processors”) to operate Vocca. Each is bound by contractual obligations and processes data only as needed to provide its service.
We may update this list as our service evolves. Material changes will be reflected on this page along with the “Last updated” date.
We retain personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above, unless a longer period is required by law.
When you delete your account through the app (for example, Profile / Account settings), we delete your account credentials and associated user data from our systems in line with our deletion procedures, including cloud-stored content tied to that account. Some information may persist in encrypted backups for a limited period before automatic overwrite, or where retention is required by law.
Aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably identify you may be retained for analytics and operations.
We implement administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States or other countries where we or our providers operate. We take steps designed to ensure appropriate safeguards where required.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. You can manage many choices in the app (including optional analytics and account deletion).
To exercise privacy rights, contact privacy@thevoccapp.com. We may need to verify your request. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority where applicable.
Vocca is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected such information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the “Last updated” date. For material changes, we will provide notice as appropriate (for example, through the app or by email).
